EXCELLENT STAY! GREAT STAFF and QUIET ROOMWe stayed at the Tiki for the first time for our recent stay in June.We stayed in Room 202 and were thrilled with the room and kitchenette and slept soundly. Beds were comfy and the room was quiet.I have to say the booking process was seamless, and when I followed up with emails and calls before hand their staff was professional and very kind. They treated me with the utmost respect and took care of any request I had and followed up on them.And Patrick, the maintenance man is a walking advertisement. So helpful (carried our luggage upstairs as I had a really bad back) and promoted the place and told us about the pool and towels and asked a couple times if there was anything else he could do to help our stay. I watched him go from room to room doing things and he was so personable and friendly, he sure makes you want to come back and support the Tiki motel. I will recommend this place to all our friends, thank you so much for a great stay! Best motel i have stayed at in over 15 years!! I am giving our stay 2 stars. A whole bunch of little things were not up to par with our room. First the vertical blinds are horrible. Our living room blinds were missing 2 slats and other slats were twisted out of alignment resulting in no privacy in our ground level suite. Also vertical blinds are a horrible choice for the bedroom because they let in too much light.The mattress cover was old and stretched out. It kept coming off the mattress and taking the flat mattress sheet with it. A fitted sheet would be better on the mattress. It was really uncomfortable laying on a wrinkled loose sheet.I was not expecting every little thing to be new but I was expecting everything to be clean. Our room was dirty. I do not blame housekeeping. I blame the owner. Our room was in need of a really good deep cleaning. There was black mold/mildew in the grout and caulking around the bathtub. The bathtub surround needs to be bleached and recaulked. The painted bathroom walls had water stains and need a good wash. The utensils in our kitchenette were exceptionally cheap and sparse to the point of being non-functional. We were paying $200.00 per night. Is it too much ask to have a spatula that does not bend like a yogi?Also an irritant was the choice to not supply paper towels. It is just strange.
We left a poor motel early to stay in this one. It was a great experience, and an awesome hotel. What a great location too! I would love to stay there for a longer stay one day.
Stayed Aug 14,15 th 2018. This motel is not 3 Star it is lucky to be 1 Star. It was filthy. The bathroom fixtures were at least 20 yrs old. Mold on the edge of the tub. Floors were filthy. Hall ways hadnt been cleaned in months. Towels were thread bare. Over priced, hole. The only thing that was accurate is that it is across the street from the beach. So disappointed, left early refused to even use the kitchenette.
