Stayed there last summer 2017 for a week. Bad mistake! Site Managers were great but owner is a dictator. He yelled at my wife when she was trying to get our small dog to their patch of grass near gate to do his business. He also refused to make change for his own laundromat. He gives Penticton campgrounds a bad name. They apparently call him the Colonel of all things!
Conveniently located across from the Penticton Park you can walk to the beach or spend time in the park. Lots of trees and shade for hot days. the downside is that you are next to the road so you hear constant traffic, and the spaces are so close you can hear someone coughing in their trailer next to you. The staff was friendly and helpful. Love the area but this park was not for us.
Love staying here! The sites are well kept, campground is clean and extremely quiet at night. It's become our annual family holiday and we look forward to it every year! Everyone was friendly and ready to help when needed. Can't wait for next year!
We stayed here for 8 nights earlier this month. The person who greeted us was friendly and helpful, and showed us our spot. He helped me park our 30' trailer perfectly in the site and showed us the laundry, showers, bathrooms, and so on. Pat, the lady who handles the reservations was similarly helpful - when taking payment, she told us all about the Kids' Day at PeachFest happening that weekend. There are a few rules to follow, but no one ever yelled at us or caused us any concern. We were politely asked to use our propane fire pit on the concrete patio instead of the gravel or green grass, and our kids were asked to stop riding their bikes around when it got dark. The smaller size of the park was very comforting to us - we could let our kids (3, 5, and 7) ride their bikes around the looping roadway without letting them get out of our sight. The location is fabulous - right across the street from Skaha Park and Sudbury Beach (which in my opinion is the nicest beach in Penticton). It's also convenient to the end of the Penticton river channel, and walking distance to a cold beer and wine store and convenience store. Wal-mart and other major stores are a short 5 minute drive. The park is well maintained and groomed, with lovely trees providing shade, and is well-lit at night. The secured access for guests only was also appreciated. The bathrooms and showers are spotlessly clean, and all services/water pressure at the sites worked flawlessly. My one complaint and this is the reason for the 4-star review, is that the pond/marsh that the park is next to can give off a pretty bad odour when the wind is right. I'm not sure what could ever be done about this, but just be aware. That said, we would definitely stay here again.
Great RV resort, i don't understand any of the negative reviews. The spots are spacious enough and well kept, they seem more attractive than at the neighbouring RV campground. The lady manager/owner helped us extensively with arranging transport to the start of the canal float. Facilities are clean. Only (minor) drawback: wifi is slow.
