We don't usually use a travel agent and our experience with the Flight Centre has not convinced us to change. We stopped in to book a trip to Europe that we've made in the past, using Expedia, thinking that perhaps an agent would be able to improve the routing. However, the routing that Christina proposed took twice as long to get there than we took last time, and required an overnight stay along the way. When we later checked online, it took less than 10 minutes to find a much better routing. Christina didn't seem to care to help us or to listen to what we wanted; she appeared to be more interested in chatting with her coworker. It is hard to tell whether she was incompetent or just didn't care. Considering that you have to pay the agent an additional amount above the ticket price, it's a wonder travel agencies still exist. At any rate, it is back to do-it-yourself online booking for us.
Second experience with this location of Flight center, both times the staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful without being pushy. We especially appreciated the excellent service from Lindsay who took the extra time to book our trip using loyalty point, she is wonderful!
