Great place to go for a casual Great tasting burger. Kids burgers aren't great but everything else is excellent. We all choose our own build your own burger!! They were all Delish!! Service was slow but it was crazy busy, so it was to be expected. Will definitely be recommending this place!
Can't say anything more about this place than..awesome!! We found this gem a few years ago, and we make room on every vacation to come back. Burgers are amazing..and make your poutine is mind blowing! I love the fact that you can personalize everything! Love love love it!
I wanted to provide an update to my last review. I just returned to Burger 55 for the first time in several months. I have to say I was much happier with my experience this go around. The burgers came out quickly, the buns were toasted now, and they seem to have gone back to some of their original ingredients. All in all, my most recent trip was more indicative of the high quality I came to expect from Burger 55. In addition, you can tell the manager is making a real effort to bring some positive changes to the place (kids menu with some free ice-cream for the wee ones and no more paper menu). I still miss the fun decor, but there is at least some signage up on the wall now. All in all, very happy to see that quality has improved. Hopefully they continue to work on restoring the fun decor!
The first time I visited burger 55 was disappointing because my burger was raw. I wasn't able to stay long enough to have them fix it so I ate my fries and was given a refund for my burger. Went there today for my second visit. They were out of brioche buns so i got my burger on one of their whole wheat buns. The bun was so stale it crumbled whenever I picked it up. I asked for a new burger, which the staff made for me. It wasn't much better. My friend's burger had some sort of sauce on it that she didn't order. All of the burgers were overcooked. After giving this place a second chance after a disappointing first visit I don't plan on returning.
Don't know what happened with my post, I wrote some but it's gone... Anyway here it goes again:Good burgers but not "burger nerd" level. Meat was good but lacking that juicy medium rare style of the meat and the sweet potato fries could have been a bit more well done. Otherwise good, bread was nice, good things on the burger and flavour of the sauce was good. + for mayo for the fries. Great milkshake. Would for sure recommend to go here for burgers in Penticton.
